The University of Kentucky operates a High Performance Computing complex in support of its research and teaching missions. Located in McVey Hall, the complex is built from a large cluster of commodity servers, a group of large Shared Memory Processor (SMP) machines, a high speed interconnect, a large unified file system, and a mass storage system.
The current IBM BCX cluster and pSeries complex were installed early in 2007. In June, 2007, the BCX cluster was ranked #66 on the Top500 Supercomputers list. See www.Top500.org for current information. If you are new to the site, or you haven't used the UK supercomputer since the HP days, then please Read Me First.
Subscribe to the UK HPC Listserv List by sending email to LISTSERV@LSV.UKY.EDU with the single line SUB HPC in it. If you want get off the list, use UNSUB HPC instead.
